PostSubject: Guide of BootCamping your Mac into Windows   Tue May 15, 2007 10:18 pm

Things required:
1. Boot Camp (program)
2. Blank disc
3. Window Xp/Vista disc
4. Mac Recovery disc (optional)
5. Your MAC (MUST!)

Step:

(1) Download the Boot Camp Assistant (138 MB) from http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/

(2) Install it..search for "boot camp" at the spotlight (top right hand corner of your screen where u saw a magnifying glass)

(3) You will find a program called "Boot Camp Assistant"..double click it

(4) Follow the instruction and you will need to burn the driver disc using your blank CD-R/RW..this step is important..must BURN!

(5) Partiton your drive..for MacBook Pro..i will recommand 32gig for your windows space..all else..just make half of the remaining gig..example if your whole drive left with 50gig..den use 25 gig for your windows

(6) Next..if you partitoned your drive successfully..it will tell you to insert your windows disc..then click "start installation"

(7) Then you will see blue screen...after a long loading..follow the instruction..then you come to a part where it will ask you for the partitioned disk that you want to install your windows in..choose the disk that you partitoned in step 5..example if you paritioned a 32gig..it will be (32000+- mb)

(8 ) After you installed xp on your mac..you will find that the resolution is very lousy..so now...use your driver disc which you burned in step 4 and install everything

TroubleShooting (Optional):

Some of you may encounter a problem in step 5 saying that your disk is spoiled and cannot be partitioned..here comes the tricky part

(9) Insert your mac recovery disc that came with you when you bought your mac

(10) Upon restarting..hold down "C" button until you see a language selection screen

(11) Of course you will choose English..now..after choosing it..ingnore the window that tell you to reformat your drive

(12) Instead..go to the top toolbar and find "Disk Utility"

(13) Select your drive and click repair..after that just follow step 5 to partition your disk..skip the buring driver disk part if you have already burned it previously
